slightly off topic

Has anyone ever given any thought toward opening a B M bullion shop. In such a venture what allocation of bullion would you need to have on hand....$20,0000 gold $10,000 platinum $30,000 silver $5,000 90%. Anyones input would be appreciated.

Too small of spread to make any cash selling only bullion I would think.
  • I'm sure over time you would take in coin collections, to stock the shelves with. For cash and carry bullion do you think my numbers would be a start. Pageing captain henway, I think he owns a b m.
  • My local B@M has practically turned into a bullion store.. I never see anyone looking at the coins he has stocked...
  • I just came home, expecting there to be some responses to my post.... crickets chirping

  • IMO that is not enough $$$......I would think you would need 10x that at least.
  • Even using Gainsville coins or Tulving to keep the stock up. Where I live the B M never has anything except junk bullion rounds. I'm sure after sometime stuff would start comeing in over the counter.
  • If you always bought at spot and sold at a consistent spread could you generate loyal customers. helping to make your buisness through volume.

You'd have to have a lot of foot traffic. The current BM would meet your prices once he had competition.
