This is by far one of the coolest things I have seen in a very long time!! The veterans on this board sure go above and beyond to help bring this group together. I know I am still a newbie when it comes to this forum, but you guys are a rare group. It's acts like this coin swap that really show the good in individuals, even when directed toward 'strangers'. You guys are very inspiring and I wish you all the very best during the upcoming year.

Remember that the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.

Rick,
Talk to Boom. Newbies can join our swaps as long as they follow the rules, send required info, etc. Also being a swap group member (in good standing) can open doors to other things, like Tags.
For the Christmas Swap:
I got my package, and am very satisfied with our swap. I like the 1892 Columbian Exposition coin best. One of these days I'll work out my lighting problems. And can get pics worth posting again.
Paul
(Old man) Look I had a lovely supper, and all I said to my wife was, “That piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah”.
(Priest) BLASPHEMY he said it again, did you hear him?
For the record, as previously mentioned, "No swap is FINAL until BOTH parties mutually agree & POST that they are satisfied."
THIS IS a very crucial part of the swap because it's when any & all potential "bad blood" can be avoided by further COMMUNICATION with your partners.
From all indications thus far I can say that I am totally unaware of any real issues. THIS IS THE MOST CRITICAL PART OF ANY SWAP!
I know most of you well enough that I can literally vouch for you however, particularly for the newcomers, IF there is a problem you NEED to tell your partner first!
This is also why I've set forth "if in doubt - add a coin or two ... it won't kill you & you might just experience the very real Joy that comes with giving"!
If there should be issues that are so horrendous I DO NOT EXPECT ANYONE to simply grin, bear it and say Nothing!
By the same token, I DO NOT think it's appropriate to publicly flame or blast a fellow collector without "just cause".
I trust you all are quite capable of working out any differences however, if this is not do-able, simply return one anothers' property.
I don't want to see anyone incurring losses as parts of these swaps - nor do I wish to see anyone taken advantage of.
Remember - "Fair Play"! Before you SEND, put yourself in the other person's shoes & ask yourself how YOU would feel receiving what you're sending!
I'd like to thank everyone again & if so inclined, please go to the proposed "Valentine's Day Swap" and sign up beginning NOW!
I'm a little late posting, but lonelyp sent me 3 very nice coins! A beatiful PCGS MS65 Booker T Wash with light rim tone. I really like it. Also a very nice ANACS FB Merc and a nice clean PCGS graded '54 Franklin. All very nice example for my collection. Thanks again!

I think we'll try to set the next one as "The Valentine Day Swap." - tentatively.
Always open for suggestions.
