gsa1fangsa1fan Posts: 5,566 ✭✭✭
I bought this on eBay $10 buy it now free shipping on 10/21/09. I admit I pulled trigger before seeing who was selling it.

I received it in the mail 11/06/09. Not bad for overseas shipping! $5 postage airmail from Hong Kong.

Any way it's feels right and looks good. Cool silk pouch to boot!

Opinions??? Can anyone make out the writing?

Chinese .999 Ag. round possible? Lead? Tracking device?

hmm a chinese coin.........50/50 chance I suppose. Weigh it and see if it comes out at 31.1 grams or like 28 grams or something.

I looked at seller's other listings one says Silver alloy-silver plated.

My point even if lead how could you make any profit?

so is yours silver plated??? If its a fake, perhaps it costs them 50 cents, and 5 bucks to ship and then ebay fees, they make a few dollars but that few dollars may give him and his family like 3 days worth of food until he can find another unsuspecting person to buy another one and the cycle repeat????

First thing I do is look at persons address, if it says China, I move on image

I feel that there is no possible way that it can be .999 silver.

Tin-lead alloy to match silver's density and then silver-plated, maybe?

Whenever I see a Chinese bullion item I turn the other way. I say it's a fake. How many grams does it weigh.

Based on the ratio of 31.1 to 21...

And the ratio of the density of Silver to Zinc...

I believe it is made primarily of Zinc.

$10 purchase. I at least received a product. $5 was shipping.

Neat painted metal round, silk pouch, plastic cover, What ever metal it's made of, eBay fees, PayPal fees, & Labor.

How or why would you waste the time & effort?
