I think you guys might have inspired me too get busy again

I bought my second detactor 5 or 6 years ago after wearing out the first one on the beaches of NC. A couple of years after that those trips ceased due to life circumstnces. I may have to take my detector bad off the hook in the basement and blow the dust off of it! I'm glad I took a look in here!

    Welcome back...looking forward to seeing what you find. I should be doing some MD'ing on NC beaches in the latter part of December this year. So leave some for me. image Cheers, RickO

    Ricko, no worries you'll beat me there for sure. One of my brother's has a house at Hatteras. Seeing as how it's illegal to search those areas that the federal govt. owns, I always dreamed of what might be found there. I know those areas still get searched but not like areas that aren't restricted...

    I was so inspired litlle earlier, and was dying to get the hell out of the office, that I went and bought some 9 volt batteries, went home a grabbed my detector and spent 2 1/2 hours out in the sun along the river sweeping away. I found a nice medal of unknown metal content and a state quarter. The river hosts a couple of large Big 10 regattas every year. The medal is from one of those I'm sure since it says Spekmon Regatta... pretty cool, about the size of a morgan. I

    may skip the gym in the morning and hit it again!

    Searched over a popular sledding hill today. Found 3 state quarters and a cent all in a nice little group... beats a sharp stick in the eye.... 70 degrees on November 11th in Columbus Ohio? What a day to do some detecting
