Silver and Walnuts

The Walnut season is winding down. I'm almost at 17,000 pds. My metal detecting has been pretty slow for the last 6 weeks. Yesterday I stopped by a local football field for about 45 min. They had removed a bleacher that had been there for some time. I ended up finding a 1942 Mercury dime. I was hoping for a 42/1 but that was not to be. That was silver #5 for the year. Nothing like PCGS's total but still pretty good for me.

Wow...that is some pile of walnuts... Nice find on the silver. Is that a good year's take of walnuts? I have no idea what kind of yields one would expect or how many trees that represents. Cheers, RickO

I think it means "pounds"

It does mean pounds. I will have over 81/2 tons when I'm finished this year.
