I've been reading all these replies with interest because as stated earlier I really want to do something with my Gold Spouses. "I" do not see them as bullion, and I am not a collector that believes in slabbing except for authentication and protection. I love handling my old coins and keep my collections in albums. Is there a way to cut down the packaging and still safely display my only pristine gold coins. I am only familiar with Dansco and Whitman Classic albums. Is there a way to make sure they don't get wiped or scratched and still keep them relatively handleable. I am leaning towards the slabbing for protective reasons and in case they do end up with my heirs sooner than I would like. Since before this is done it will represent a hefty investment is there a way to get an archival, safe custom display holder made that wouldn't cost a small fortune.
