I just watched the first commercial for silver that I've ever seen.

Yeah, gold investment companies are all in vogue, but I just watched a tv commercial on FOX for silver. They recommend 10% of your assets in silver.

I wonder if that's a good sign, or a bad one?

Thats interesting.As is an apparant trend towards 1/2oz and 1/4oz silver bars/rounds , i mean..1/4oz of silver..why?

I'm a huge fan of smaller bars/rounds but despise the premiums. If premiums were the same as on say 10 oz bars, I would have Nothing but those small bars.

Fair enough , but in all seriousness if somebody were thinking on investing in silver , would they really want to pay well over the odds for 1/4oz ..a moot question perhaps , seems they might be better off holding off a bit and going for a Canadian maple or ASE both of which are available close to spot prices.
The sheer bulk they would present also is offputting for me as is the plethora of fakes out there as highlighted in other threads.Not so easy to fake Mint bullion.
