ERROR CARD OF THE WEEK 10/25 (1989 Upper Deck Dale Murphy/Pat Sheridan)

hey guys,

i missed last weekend i was away on vacation so I decided to post early this weekend and double it up.

These 2 cards are so tough to get in PSA 10. Also the Murphy was insane to get back in 1989 goin for 75 to 300 bux.

the sheridan wasn't a big star player and the position missing looked funny with ink shaded .

The sheridan may be the tougher card today. Hope you enjoy and have some comments..

I remember buying the last two packs from a dealers box and pulling the Murphy rev neg. I sold it for $40.00 in about 1991 or 1992 I think. The Beckett value at the time was only about $50.00 if I remember correctly.

Another story about 1989 Upper Deck is that I got 40 Don Aase cards in two boxes but only 1 Griffey. Really ticked me off........

  • I think the Sheridan was corrected first, then the other errors. Worked in a card store at that time, and my boss sold an error case to another dealer. The Sheridan's were corrected, so the buyer didn't think it was an error case, but the Murphy's were errors. Thats if I remember correctly. The error cases went for big $$$$ in those days.

  • Can't remember the other errors from Upper Deck that year. I remember Mike Gallego, and thats about it other then Murphy, and Sheridan, and Sheffield. Still have trouble telling the error Sheffield apart from the regular one.
