Roll Call - November Sun Times Show

I'll be there at least one day. Might take advantage of some of the "Roll Back" autograph deals too. I've had some good luck at the past two shows in Rosemont with one-time set up dealers blowing out vintage stuff. Picked up 200 of the nicest 59 Topps you'll see still raw for $120 last show.

If anyone is interested in meeting up for a cone, let me know. Also, stop by the Polo Grounds booth (Bill Nathanson) if you are into very high end raw vintage, I'm normally there drooling over his cards (and selling some too).

    I would love a Carlton signed OML baseball for that asking price. What a deal. Too bad I am too far away to attend.

    Do the athletes themselves set their signing fees or is it the agencies that represent them? Reason I ask is I'm wondering why Joe Montana's auto fee is 2-3x most of the others. Don't get me wrong, I love the ass chin as much as the next guy, but the fee seems a bit steep.

    Pologrounds has bought a lot of psa gradeds from me in the past. Cracks them and sells them raw. Hey, if it works for him, awesome! I guess it does work, or he would not do it. Just know that you are buying previously graded cards, for the most part!

    I'll be there Friday evening and most of the day Saturday... or until I run out of money!

    Maybe there'll be some Browns stuff marked down due to decreasing demand. :-)

    I'll need to check the website ... it's local to me but I rarely go to shows. If Cepeda will be there I may have to show up as I have a card already signed by Aaron and Mays from a show when I was a kid. It also has Cepeda pictured. I'd love to get the rest of the sigs on it before having it slabbed.

    Damn. Now I am committed and I hate that drive and am short on hobby cash after some recent purchases. May be a quickie for the Cepeda. Then to locate McCovey.

    Looking at the price list and all of the restrictions just reaffirms my distaste for shows

    inscription -- a notation after the auto such as hof 2008 or MVP Super Bowl XXX etc. There are some notorious ones out there and there are some cool ones out there

    I have a favor if anyone is willing to help me out...I have a PSA graded card with a hair encapsulated inside the case...wondering if I can mail it to someone to have PSA crack it, take the hair out, and re-slab it (should be free).
