I'm a HUGE Vikings fan, but I'd have to say Aaron Rodgers. Even with a bad offensive line he's putting up nice numbers.

    I'd take Peyton!

    Peyton has my vote.
    Brett

I want to say Brady but RIGHT NOW I would say Manning as well..Brees had two games without a TD pass and Brady was "off" a game or two.
  • Manning is the easy choice. Leads the league in completion percentage, yards per attempt, sacked only twice, fumbled only once, Colts running game is one of the worst in the league

I'd go with Big Ben because he's throwing behind a shakey line.

I would take PM in a heartbeat!!

Brees, and I'm a Pats fan. He's having one of the best statistical years of all time. Yeah, Manning leads some categories, but Brees is on pace for 5 Ints and almost 40 TDs. That's freaking efficient. He has a 118.4 rating right now. The record is 121.2 (Manning/04). If Brees were to finish with his current rating, it would be second best ever.

I'd say either P. Manning or Brees. Hard to pick between those two, but I think they're clearly the top two *at this point*.

You guys are overlooking the obvious answer: Matt Cassel. He is obviously a stud and is worth every penny the Chiefs are paying him.

My own disdain for Favre's drama, attention-craving, streak-obsession and media worship notwithstanding, I probably would have included him in this list except that he has the luxury of having Adrian Peterson in the backfield, which takes a lot of pressure off of him and opens up the passing game. I'd agree his stats are pretty comparable if not quite up there with Peyton and Brees.
  • Eli Manning hands down.

"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."

I;d rank Peyton #1...others deserving attention include Brees, Rothlisberger, Favre and Schaub (if you throw out week 1). It's still early, though.

  • Tom Brady. 6 TD passes in the snow and ice. Incredible!

Brees and P. Manning for now -- but Brady inserted himself into the mix after last Sunday.

The only thing Brady leads the league in is attempts. That's what happen when you have a classless coach that comes out passing in the second half when the score is 45-0.

It's Manning on top with Brees a close second, then everyone else. Period.

And if I have to come off like Fandango about Pujols to prove my point about Manning, I'll do it. image
