"You know why I did not bid?" Please let me know, so that I am clear on it too. I hate not knowing what I am doing and I need someone to watch over me to tell me. Believe me, I would have bid had I known about the coin. I do not look for every lot on every day, and was in Houston for the last 5 days of this auction. (I live in Montana, and was many miles from home where it was way to hot for me (in the 70's) anyways).

At least you are now saying that the reason you come to these boards is to buy and sell, exactly what many have said and you would never admit.

I want to know why you keep bringing me into this little "saga". Obviously I was not a part of it, so please keep me out.

  • Jump in, and out, and in and out. I think you were just trying to mess with wc from the beginning. PERIOD.

Mitch has said: "Normally, I would not post stories about my coin sales or purchases, but, this coin received so much attention on the boards here that I felt many members would be interested in what really occured with the 1941(d) Jefferson Nickel in PCGS-MS68FS yesterday. So here goes."

And thus had to deal with all of this rhetoric. I can understand why he has now said that he will just buy and sell here. He is succussful without all this gunk.

Believe me, the pure enjoyment of conversing with fellow collectors and dealers left here long ago FOR MANY - a list too long to even begin here!! Glad to hear though you are here for the pure enjoyment of it. I'll try to continue to keep you amused imageimage

I never did anything with wondercoin in mind. My bid on the first coin was irrelavant to his being there. Perhaps I am the only one who knows why I did what I did, you obviously do not. Do not tell me why I did something! Please tell me how your interpretation of what I did, when different from the truth, is right? If Laura can get in trouble for giving an opinion, why can you run off at the mouth calling it truth, when you have no idea what the truth is? I was not in this Nickel Saga, quit putting me in it. I notice the high bidder from the first auction (the person who bid more than me!) was not in it either, go and bother him.

I am only commenting on this thread because my name was dragged into it. If you do not want to hear from me, then do not bring me up when you do not have a clue what you are talking about.

  • Since we are all entitled to our opinions, I do not believe that you operated independently of WC. I can leave it at that if you like.

  • Since I'm one of the bidders from the first auction, here is why I did not bid. My bid in the 1st auction was around $5000 - 6000. Since that auction I was offered this coin through a separate transaction. The price was significantly higher than I was willing to pay.

In the 2nd auction, I had the 41D on my tracking list. I was watching an hour before the auction closed. Since I was not willing to offer $10,000+, I decided why waste my time bidding (since the reserve was not met).
