I have been looking at some nice Johnson Matthey silver bars, and some are advertised as having "Original Packaging". My question is... Would you pay extra for packaging or do you just buy the bar???

I buy the silver and don't pay a premium for anything else. If you sell to a major dealer/MM, I don't think they care (but I could be wrong!)

<< <i>I personally don't care about the packaging but we've had this discussion before and or course some do/some don't.

That's a good analogy for bullion bars, but it will not work when it comes to silver Art Bars.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

I have several little art bars where the pkg has turned a dingy brown, so much so that it's hard to see the condition of the bar.
Just bullion so I haven't really worried too much about it.

Any help locating any of these OBW rolls would be gratefully appreciated!
<< <i>Question, hopefully not too OT from a bar newbie, does the original packaging of these bars contain PVCs?

Yes. Most are PVC.
