So who takes home CY Young? Carpenter or Lincecum?

• Ranks 2nd in NL in WHIP (1.01)

• Ranks 3rd in NL in CG (3)

Lincecum
• Ranks 4th in NL in W (15)
• Ranks 3rd in NL in IP (225.1)
• Ranks 1st in NL in SO (261)
• Ranks 2nd in NL in ERA (2.48)
• Ranks 4th in NL in WHIP (1.05)
• Ranks 5th in NL in W% (.682)
• Ranks 1st in NL in CG (4)

Carpenter had 3 games in which he pitched at least 6 innings and gave up 2 or less earned runs and ended up with the lose or a ND (he had one more game (making it 4) but he only pitched 5 innings)

Lincecum had 7 games in which he pitched at least 6 innings and gave up 2 or less earned runs and again ended up with the lose or a ND

    agreed, wainwright will get some strong consideration as well.

    I think Carpenter wins it though; Lincecum deserves it.

    Carpenter wins with Wainright and Lincecum being very close.

    Lincecum is hurt by the fact that he won last year so people expect it from him. Reminds me of the Pujols treatment. People expect Pujols to have 40 HRs 125 RBI and .330 BA. Those numbers should win every year unless the voters expect that every year from a player and are looking for something more.

    I say Carpenter and Wainwright split votes allowing Lincecum to win.
