<< <i>I'm almost positive that in 1912 it was still called "world's championship series" on tickets and programs. I think I had a stolen picture of a ticket from that series, I'll see if I can find it. >>
Just a heads-up: Look at this pic from Sotheby's. As you can see the "souvenir score card" here calls the 1912 NY/Boston series "World Series" and not "world championship series".
<< <i>Doesn't seem legit to me.....purple ticket..color ink.....and $1.00 dollar even for the price...where is all the taxes that is seen on a lot of ticket prices......maybe 1912 was before a lot of "state, amusement, and local tax" >>
You want to see purple colored ink? Look at the Fenway Park tickets in this Sotheby's pic. Red, yellow and deep purple Fenway tickets!
+ Those (3) Fenway Park tics in the Sotheby's pic were a $1.00 even (...like the NY/Bos purple ticket)!
You are either toying with people or full of it, nothing in between (unless, of course, there's something that I don't know about ticket subs, which quite frankly, I don't).

Your the expert, so you should be schooling us. Game two meant the second game that was played at Pollo Grounds, but it was the 4th game of the series.

Bright Purple is the color.... Its authentic. But if you want to sell it...... its better to get it slabbed so the newbies dont freak on you like this post kinda did. Yours was pulled from a scrapbooks so the wear will be minimal and the color will not fade.
They (WS Stubs) are more common that you think, most of them were glued into scrapbooks (like yours) and there were thousands of them saved this way every year.
I didnt read all the posts, so someone might have shown this already..... there is one on eBay right now with a completely crazy BIN of $6K.
Now find a Joe Wood card to go with it, that was his crazy year ..... 34-5, 1.91 era, 10 shutouts, 35 complete games, 258 SOs, and just 22 years old too.
at that time... Joe threw harder than Walter Johnson so they said
Isn't the owner of this ticket the same guy who faked pulling a Jordan from a 1988 Fleer bkb pack in hopes others would buy the packs he had left?
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
<< <i>Did this ticket ever sell? Curious if anyone can speak to it's whereabouts? It's a phenominal find. >>
Looks like the seller put it up on ebay. Net 54 Link
Interestingly I found this one that SGC authenticated that looks completely different. 1912 WS Ticket Stub >>
Here is what I can guess, "bleacher" "Pavillion" "Field stands" where no specific seating assignment is published the tickets will be on a different stock.
Your example is great as it shows the template and stock used for tickets with actual assigned seating.

You are heavy in 1912 Fenway tickets. I really like the pair with consecutive numbers, I think it is cool keeping a pair together for that long.
