This may be impossible due to players signatures changing, but I would rather have a thread in which I can see genuine autos and compare to them. But this is a good alternative I guess. Good luck in your quest!

I think this is a good idea (one thread) and I do enjoy these posts. The GAI shoeless doesn't look nearly as bad as his other stuff, if it is fake he's getting a lot better. Also maybe it's a better idea to post pics instead of links since the links will expire down the line while pics can always be referenced.

I'm not an auto expert but I was looking at Peterson RCs and came across this - Topps Premiere RED auto from (I think) one of our favorite forgers
If you know Peterson's auto, this one's not even close
So he wiped off the blue auto and signed a red one, turning a $200+ card into a $500+ card, right?

    Red auto on ebay now

    Another one he just sold

So these red autos have a print run of 10, and he has 2 of them for sale within a week's time?

    Here's a real red auto

See, on the real cards Adrian used a thinner point pen. And see the narrower, taller strokes on the real one - that's how all his sigs look.
It's too bad - carboardpimping's fake auto sold for more than the real one.

I'm beginning to think that the only way to get these people off Ebay is to do what Markel did w/ the infamous card doctor on Net54, and that is to bring a class action lawsuit involving several people who have purchased fake stuff from that seller. It seems at the moment, they sell this stuff with impunity.

I guess you're right. I don't know all of his usernames. He sold yet another red auto on Sept 20.

So that's 4 of the 10 in existence owned by the same guy and sold in the same month.

He must have opened 50 cases of the productimage

I'll report them as well. But I don't have high hopes of anything happening. He's survived this long.

    From the seller

It's the wrong card. I have his signature on another card which I gave to my son and mistook it for this one when I went through my cards. It's too late to change as there has already been a bid so I'm thinking of ending the auction. Sorry for your trouble.

I don't know if the auto is fake, but I'm pretty sure the 1/1 designation is.

Looks like a normal relic card auto'd and numbered 1/1. Card back makes no mention of an auto.

Speaking of weird angles, check out the "22" on this "Emmitt auto". The auto flows one way and then the number 22 goes another.

edit: I have seen the "22" go on a slight slant before but never vertical..that's just stupid.

If you're going to do fakes, go big.

For only $225, you too can have a signed (in what looks to be Sharpie) James Dean movie poster of Rebel Without a Cause.

He's a really tough autograph, especially because the movie didn't come out until after he died.

It's from our Chinese Connection spammers at NeAutographs (formerly known as Nathan's Autographs).

I realize it's not new, as it's an older grading label that has been passed around on Ebay for some time. I was pointing it out, since it was just recently listed yet again on Ebay. That was the point of this thread. And I have personally seen far more than 5 of the forgeries in PSA slabs over the last 2-3 of years.

My main concern is that I wonder if Joe Orlando will buy this one back, to get it off of the streets? If Joe or Carol reads this thread, maybe they can let us know. It would be nice to get another forgery out of the hobby, so people can stop being burned. Uneducated buyers buy the PSA slab trusting the card and autograph are legit, when in reality, they don't realize they are buying a forgery.

    EDIT: spell
  • Options
Also, fandango, what did you ever do with your copy of the Fleer Legacy Pujols auto that was a forgery in a PSA slab? Did you ever approach Joe Orlando about it? Just curious as to what you done, if you don't mind sharing. Thank you.

If you look in his completed auctions a lot of bidders bidded his fakes up really high just to screw him. I love when that happens. He has up all the fakes that Burge & his crew usually have. Fake Jeters, Arods & of course Topps Photo Shoot Football. The Little Suns is 100% fake. The forgers arent just that smart or I guess they really dont care because they just don't know how to make the D.
