This Is the next Swap: Send-to list posted

With my men Moursund and Danarchy both fishing for a swap, I will be glad to oversee the next one. If it pleases the board, lets go with the common $30-$35 value. Let's sign up by midnight 3-11-2002, and I will try to persuade my two year old to draw names one at a time. Sign up now. Thanks.

  • yeah, I too would be happy to do it again!

Good luck with the little number puller!

As a side note, after pulling my name last in the last swap, my little one got another chance. At the coin show that was in town last week, they asked her to pull names for 4 gold eagles being raffled. $25,$10, and 2 $5.'s. She didn't pull our name.

luvdawgs:glad to see your joining the fun this time!

btw...your not gonna wake the little one up at 12:01 to pull are yaimage

I received my package today from Louie. There were some gorgeous silver quarters, some interesting dark-side, a proof Sackie, and, the centerpiece, a U.S.O. 50th anniversary commemerative dollar. I haven't had a chance to get a really good look at the commem under magnification, but at a glance it looks to be MS70. I realize that this is almost impossible, so until further scrutiny, I'll just say at least MS68. Thanks Louie!

Got my Swap package from MorganBarber today. A nice assortment.

    My package contained:

    1894-S Barber half
    1923-S Walking half
    1908 Liberty nickel
    1923 Buffalo nickel

    1969 Australian 20c
    1969 Bahama Islands 1c
    1969 Bahama Islands 5c
    1969 Canadian 1c

These filled some nice holes in my 1969 darkside collection

and the topper for the whole lot......

1885-O Morgan that would probably grade MS63 or better.

Thanks MorganMan.......this was a very nice swap.

I was wondering if you would notice that rotated die. I had 2 of em, same year, with rotated dies. The one I still have also has a die crack running from the tip of the ribbon at the bottom of the coin and to up above America. Also, if you submit those Mercs, let me know how they do. I'm curious to see how I did at visual grading.

  • I do plan on submitting the Mercs (and I'll let you know how it goes), but not until after I see the results from my first submission. Hopefully, I will see that within the next 2 weeks. Wish me luck!

Well, LUVDAWGS (Susan) took her sweet time getting my package together to send me for the swap... I think she kept finding more coins to send me, and making special trips to the coin shops and such... image

What she finally sent has knocked my socks off!!!

    A pair of F/VF liberty nicks, 1899 and 1900
    A pair of ~MS60 peace dollars, 1922 and 1923
A pair of F/VF SL quarters, 1928 and 28s (the 28s is cleaned, tsk tsk tsk image)

If that were it, it would be a great swap package! But that's not the half of it!!!

    Also:
A VF/XF 1951 large cent (nicest large cent I have!),

    AND
A fantastic AU 1930 SL quarter, with lots of luster and some light toning

    Holy Shmoly! What a package!!!

I just got a box in the mail from PCGS. In it were some coins I submitted for grading. One of them was the 1940 Merc GaCoinNewbie sent me. I had estimated it's grade at MS-63 and got it back as...
