Thats alot more fancy then the ones I used when I was a combat engineer. Damn things only worked half the time, if you were lucky, but then again all the ones I used were for training.
Picture this.. a line of guys walking across a mine field, hands over their ears, putting one foot forward and probing with the toe of their boot... Used to be an ethnic joke, in which the action was pantomimed. Cheers, RickO

you do it the old fashioned way with a knife i suppose.
or perhaps use a lot of explosives or call in the engineering unit with
a special tank.
but then my knowledge of the armed forces is mostly from WWII...
line guys up and use sticks to go through a minefield.
Not sure I like their service. The U.S. Marine who told me this said it occurred in Gulf War I.
