    It is almost by definition true since most of them have little business experience. You can tell which ones have the least experience by the number of clearly superior simple solutions they propose.

    I get the "need more pictures" on my eBay stuff several time a month, but I can't remember the last time somebody who asked for pictures actually won an auction. Here's an example- this picture was in the listing...

    and I get a request for "more detailed pictures" (note the plural there). That image is fairly representative of the pictures I include in all my auctions. Now, getting the coin out and setting up my camera to take more pictures and then putting everything away (my house isn't big enough to allow for a dedicated photo setup area) will, along with post-photo editing/cropping/etc., take about 20-30 minutes or so. All this for a $30 (more or less) item. And that's the possible sale price, not the profit on the sale.

    Can you maybe see why some sellers are not exactly excited by the prospect of taking pictures to order?
