    Update:

I forgot the box at home yesterday image & Monday was a holiday, at least for the P.O.
I have the package here next to me & will be shipping it out in about 2 hours (at lunch)
Will post all of the shipping info then.

The packages are on their way.....let's see how much slower Registered is compared to regular Priority.

TAG is going Registered Priority (yeah, right). #RE344277351US
    Priority envelope going straight to Paul, Del Conf./Ins #9405 5036 9930 0012 7906 22

These were both sent directly from the mail annex in Los Angeles, so this should be rather quick.
I'd expect Paul to have his package by Friday & the TAG to be in morganbarber hands by end of the next week.

    Thanks Again Paul.

Label/Receipt Number: 9405 5036 9930 0012 7906 22 Class: Priority Mail® Service(s): Delivery Confirmation™ Status: Notice Left We attempted to deliver your item at 12:32 PM on October 16, 2009 in EXETER, NH 03833 and a notice was left.

Well, regular Priority took 2 days to get from L.A, CA to Exeter, N.H.
    Just like it should.

Now to wait for the Registered box to get to Virginia (which is probably a few hundred miles closer).

I got a slip today from the PO. I'm hoping to pick up the package tomorrow, but certainly Wenesday at the latest.

Boy that was quick for Registered. image

I picked up my package direct from Ajia yesterday. He gave me a good start on my 30s coins. BUT more are needed.

Yeah, sending mail from the Annex here in L.A. usually provides quick service.
It's probably those tiny P.O.s in Podunck, LA were mailmen ride on gators through the swamp that take all the time! imageimage

The box is here. I have done an inventory and everything is accounted for. I need to leave immediately for a Cub Scout Den Leaders' meeting, but will have a chance to actually look at the coins later, and would expect to make a proposal tonight, albeit late.

Nice looking coin with original mint set toning.

Are there hits on the eagle's chest or anywhere else?
  • BoomBoom Posts: 10,165
There appears to be a couple significant digs to the neck area of the eagle.

With current crossovers not fairing well these days, I suggest
making this swap "pending" till the coin is viewed in hand.
  • I thought the word DOLLAR looks a little mashed, and the motto is hard to see. But that could easilly be toning and glare in the pic.

I would take the advice about making this deal "Pending".

Except that I didn't say this before the deal was struck, saying it NOW doesn't feel right to me.

And thanks for posting the pics.

I do not recall seeing those little dings in the eagle in hand. Please remember the size of those pictures I posted. They are blown up dramatically. Pictures taken by Mark Goodman.

This is an accepted deal by lonelyp. I did send him pictures before hand, and he did think about it overnight.

The above being said, I leave it in lonelyp's hands since he is the tag organizer.

    Thanks,

    Brian

Excellent post and this is without doubt, a very beautiful NT coin, Brian.

It goes without saying for all taggers - regarding all items taken & put in these tags,
NO TAG/ swap should ever be considered completely FINAL till said coins return to the
    original tag originator.

Once back in his or her posession the owner will obviously be in a much
better position to make final decisions.image
  • Since Boom is the Washington Quarter expert around here.
And although I like Washies, they are NOT my favorite series. I claim NO expertese(?sp) in this, or any series. I would be happy to let Boom check out my new coin, after I get it home.
    IF it makes it home.

  • Hi Guys,

Sorry about the delay here. I've been feeling poorly, and the PO stopped delivering my mail. My mailbox was over filled, so they took it all back and left a come and get it slip.image

I DID get to the PO today, and have the box home. BUT now I'm going to sleep.

    Paul
(Old man) Look I had a lovely supper, and all I said to my wife was, “That piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah”.

(Priest) BLASPHEMY he said it again, did you hear him?
