Is it time to start licensing dealers?

    I believe most dealers that are legit have licenses' not one but more that one.

    I have one form the local gov. one from the county. a state sales tax lic. a federal ein number.

    I think all full time dealers have the same...

    The profession is self-regulated via the PNG, ANA, and somwhat through the standard setting TPGs. As long as the self regulation keeps the bad guys in check sufficiently, self-regulation is strongly preferred over goverment regulation. And when bad guys are not kept in check sufficiently, there are existing regulataroy functions that will step in (i.e. the Federal Trade Commission going after the boiler room overgraders from the 1980s).
