So the proof Lincoln cent set just went on sale today - anyone know why they are backordered to late November?

........sensationalism. check it out in a couple of days and you're liable to see they've shipped!
a few guesses:
mint and silver proof sets are on sale and they want to ensure supply for those
many current and upcoming releases and they don't want to overload the already problematic shipping processes.
they want to load up on orders to better gauge how many sets to make. Those "S" coins would have to be melted or sold into 2010 if they over-produced.
or make your own....
who knows.

for some time now, the "late nov. ship date" has appeared on the product schedule even.
Don't expect these to ship any time soon.
