Need assistance with Instructions on how to use Acetone to remove gunk on coin...

So today I just received a 20% O/C 3cN but it has plenty of green gunk on each side, plus a small amount of unknown yellow substance on the obverse.

I was recommended to soak said coin in acetone to remove the gunk.
I have never used chemicals or other substance to clean/conserve any of my coins, so I want to attempt this with as minimal damage as possible.
My question to you all is for instructions (as detailed as possible) on how best to use acetone (and/or other supplies) to best conserve this coin.
(Pictures would also be appreciated; I'm a visual learner)
Thanks for any and all help

I have a lab in the Keating Building on the UA campus, and can help you remove the organic matter. Come see me next week---my office is in room 221.

First, make sure you buy pure Acetone. In a well ventilated area, dump about 3/8 of inch of Acetone in a glass bowl. Place the coin in the Acetone and cover with plastic wrap and allow to soak for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes slowly agitate the coin and acetone. Flip the coin over and repeat. Rinse the coin with water to remove any loosened gunk. Repeat as nescessary.
Avoid breathing the fumes and wear gloves to avoid getting the acetone on your skin.
Thanks for offering to help me out and I will gladly stop by
I don't have class on Wednesday, but my Monday's and Fridays are also very light.
If either MWF work for you let me know, and what hours you're available, and I will head over there.
Thanks a bunch,
Winston
