1977 Venezuelan Jim Palmer

My brother has this card and is looking for info (I know nothing about them) and I apologize for the poor scans...the first time he used his scanner...Would this grade well? with qualifiers? Is it common for the card to bleed through the back?
I see in the Bible it is valued at $125.00 in NM seems kinda high...
Any experienced collectors with this issue? please help out with more info...
I saw the highest graded Palmer is a 2...
Opinions? thanks

<< <i>Didn't know Palmer was from Venezuela. >>
yes, little known fact about Palmer. His name is actually pronounced Jeem.
That Palmer is VERY nice. I don't see any glue residue on the back, and the corners look good.
If it doesn't have any folds, paper loss, or EOT, that card could grade as high as 7mc. Making it one of the highest graded 77 Vens in existence.
I've only seen 2 or 3 Ven's that didn't have any excess paper on the back, glue residue, or paper loss. They almost always have one of those conditions.
If I were looking to buy a card that looked as nice as that Ven. I would be very wary of making the purchase. I've never seen a Ven. that clean, and since they were printed on paper they may be very easy to counterfeit. Believe me I'm not saying that your brother's Palmer is counterfit, but I would get it put into a holder ASAP.

my brother bought it years ago in North Jersey at a card show...
he found it in a dollar box and it struck him as odd...so he bought it...

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

If it was my card I would ask for some clarification on that grade. What are they seeing that would only give that card an Authentic grade?
If they're saying that the card is a real Ven. and that it's not trimmed then there's no reason for the A grade. IMO.
Maybe a quick note to Joe is in order?

<< <i>How does this latest one get a "2" and the one from the OP an AUTHENTIC? Is the backing peeled off? Some other reason? >>
They didn't have any kind of backing. They're simply a think paper stock that was supported to be glued into an album. The OP's example looks like it was just ripped from a pack (or however they distributed those cards).
It's super nice, and I'll say it again,, it's by FAR the nicest one I've ever seen.
