Coins that have sold for a Million times face!

I will list a few and you guys can complete the list. The 1804 Dollars, 1894-S Dimes, I believe that at least one Morgan has made the list. I know that no $20 Gold has made the cut.

Any cent worth more than $10,000 or half cent worth more than $5,000 meets the million times face criteria and there are many coins that would qualify.

  • Seems like a Lincoln Cent from the 1980's sold for $10k a few years ago. Believe that it was the only MS70.

It wouldn't surprise me if a world coin or perhaps an ancient sold for 1B x face, but I know of no examples. I think the 1913 Lib 5c at 100M x face is tha highest US example.

The best I have done is 6,300,000 x face for my 1909 VDB proof.

I know at least three 1870-s seated dollars would (or have) bring $1M.
Want to buy an auction catalog for the William Hesslein Sale (December 2, 1926). Thanks to all those who have helped us obtain the others!!!
