the thing with the others is that I know they are just clowning and some have even pm'd me to say so. Being sarcastic, facetious, rude, etc....just for the sake of being funny is fine. Making fun of others just to be funny is fine too. You genuinely just try to be an ass to others on here though. You knew damn good and well that I meant the whole story behind the ball made it unique yet you insisted on chiming in with a smartass remark to try and belittle me and the content in my thread. I guess that is the norm for grumpy old men.

Boy you got all that out of my simply asking "how the ball is unique'? You must be a freaking mind reader!!

Is it possible that you mis interpreted my intent? Like you did last week over the 78 cents?

There it was spelled out in english, no need to read into it. With my comment you had to read into it.

I ask you is it possible that you mis read what i was trying to convey?

or are you bringing up your past arguments with me?

I assure you at the time I asked I was simply curious.

    Good for you.

None, I wouldn't like you no matter what title you choose.

As for the PM's I too have gotten many and all have said you are a tool.

As for STTM he like you is a liar and I called him on it.

    Next question?

Correction; You always like to twist things, just to see if you can get some trouble started. This thread is a perfect example of it. I'm glad others can see what you are doing, and if it's not me, you'll find a new target when I'm not around. Stop being a pathetic liar, Steve. MANY members have pm'ed me to say that they think you are bi-polar, because one minute you are nice to them, and the next you are starting your nonsense. I tend to agree with this evaluation. NOT nearly as many people like you as you think, Steve.

I guess you have no life other than to live on here and try to bash and discredit decent people who can contribute to this board, but choose not too come here very much due to horse's rumps like you. Your 22,600+ post count tends to point to that as evidence.. What a pathetic life.

Corvette, just ignore this idiot, winpitcher. If you can't come on here and enjoy the boards without his nonsense, then what's the point of this board even being here? The mods/Carol needs to step in and tone Steve down. This place is becoming his bully room.

Slither back under it, do everyone a favor.

edited to add: many members have also Pm'd me about you. Do you really think I care?

I know you don't so why would I?

also. while I do have a few maladies bi polar is not among them. My fault is I read through punks like you.

    Good for you.

Another lie, Steve.. You and I had a conversation, and you twisted the whole thing to fit your agenda. Just like you have done this thread.. Yet, another perfect example of your ideology.. Must be a lonely life..

There are some real good and decent members of ths forum who know me, have bought from me, sold to me, and that I have helped with autographs. They know who I am, they know I have treated them fairly/honestly, and that's all that matters. People like you, Steve, are in every aspect of life. It's just a matter of if you decide to let them win their sick little game they so enjoy playing, to bring others down to their level. I'm getting off of here. I will not sit on here all afternoon and let you drag down my life.

The reason restaurants fail is because most people who buy restaurants don't realize you're looking at 3 years (give or take) to fire on all cylinders, meaning a well-trained staff, optimized operations, and a loyal customer base. Without any one of those three things, you have no chance. Once those three things come together, it just pops and there's no looking back.
  • I thought STTM said for the 18th time a few months ago that he was never coming back to this forum?

One of the main things is paying off the original loan note. If you can fade the first couple of years (like you said) and pay off all you owe and establish the restaurant then you have it made. Right now with food costs up and the number of people eating out down pretty much all restaurants are off somewhat, but even off somewhat is still making money.

    Tommy & Steve.

Heed Stone's advice and put this to rest. You are both too intelligent for this sort of nonsense to continue.

BTW, hope the ball is good Tommy. Could be a real nice pick-up.

Thanks I've tried to bury the hatchet with Steve several times to no avail. He constantly trolls into my thread with negative jabs at me regardless of the subject matter. It also doesn't help that he's called me the f-bomb, A-hole, etc..etc...behind the scenes. I have told him just to ignore me and please not to talk to me and his reply was "I will talk to you whenever I want", lol.
  • WinPitcherWinPitcher Posts: 27,726 ✭✭✭
    Tommy no one cares.

And you have never tried to bury the hatchet with me.

Your reply to my simple question in this very thread bares that out.

Lets both take eyebone and stone's advice and put this one to bed.

I know you want to be the victim here and since you mentioned it you too have thrown around a few choice words yourself

    in the pm's.

So you really don't want this to end do you?

Now everyone can see the type of person that you really are.

In my above post I asked for us to put this to bed.

It is obvious that you don't want to.

Someof the best fights happen in the Big Brother live feeds.

    live feed updates

The producers had to evict Chima, for bad conduct this morning.

BB 11 is the most boring season yet, but the fights are still lol funny.

Who is Chima and why is he/she evicted?

Chima was one of the witches on BB 11 and she got angry when
her game got turned upside down. She went street-rat-crazy and
the producers had to toss her.

I saw one early episode of American Idol (one of like three total that I ever saw) and decided Taylor Hicks was going to win. I went online and his odds were something like 25/1, so I tried to bet $1000 on him, but their max bet on reality shows was $100. This seemed to be the case with most gaming sites so I decided it was too much work to do that on 10 different sites and said screw it. At least we had the opportunity to see a pretty good musician turn into a complete sellout. See if you can find his first two auditions on youtube; he was pretty freakin good.

If anyone doesn't mind me getting back to the original subject, I have doubts that the ball will pass PSA/DNA. Spence maybe. The problem is that the M's are all wrong. Even very early Mantle sigs have rounded humps on the M's. Early Mantle signatures will resemble the one on the 1952 Topps card, with the short upward stroke to start the M, then two decending round humps. - which Topps used on all the Topps cards with facsimile signatures. By about 1954 his signature started to change into the "loopy M" style, then the classic one you see post-retirement.

Your safest bet is to do as was suggested, start an auction with the picture, and get a quick opinion.

If you buy the ball for $200 say, and sent it to PSA/DNA for another $150 (last I looked) you could be out $350 or so.

I just got back from the White Plains show where I purchased an early Mantle autograph (51-52) with a JSA loa. If I get back from the city early enough tomorrow I will post a pic for comparison. I'm just too pooped right now to do anything else.

Signature came back "likely not genuine". I wish they would elaborate a little more though and explain why they came to that decision or what they thought of the ball, date of sig. , clubhouse sig. , etc...
