Can someone explain why I got these for so cheap?

What’s the deal with these? Did I just get screwed or hit a home run? My local shop sells these packs for $5.00 each. I am going to assume that they have been searched and I won’t pull any relics. To my knowledge I don’t think there is a way that they could have been searched for autos or Sports Royalty inserts. Can someone explain why I got these for so cheap?

The 321 negs in the last year should have been the first clue.

He says it is retail and unsearched and he describes the odds of pulling gu and autos which is uncommon with the searched pack lots. Usually when they dump the searched stuff they say "These are the left overs from many boxes we packed out that were half full, we cannot guarantee the odds on hits and you get what you get" So I am not sure here. He has 400 packs BIN for $125. That is 3,200 cards- what are the odds of pulling a regular Tiger? Don't they still sell pretty well?

To be honest all I really care about are the SP's. At $.37 per pack I am cool with not pulling a GU or auto. I am just interested in building a set. I will keep everyone posted with what I get.

Hopefully it's because fewer people are buying on eBay, realizing what a scam the whole eBay/Paypal outfit is.

I just picked up this blaster too out of shear curiosity with what I will get. I figured with combined shipping it is worth the risk. If this thing has been resealed I think I will be able to tell since I have a legit one sitting next to me.Auction #2

He does have 7000 positive positives this month too. Could that many people be getting scammed and giving them good feedback?

you have NO chance to pull anything from these packs not to mention an MJ auto, this guy should be locked up for the lies he spews. Goudey had some nice
hits, but if you consider 5 Tiger Woods autos total pullable, then go ahead and rip them. Anyone who has ever opened Goudey knows that Upper Deck pictures
a few high end guys on the package but you will never see them in packs!

You have a much better chance of pulling a Tiger Woods auto from 5 packs of 01 SP golf than you do 500 packs of 07 retail goudey! Plus these blaster boxes
were offered for half off at Kmart for a long time.

I hate to say it, but Kevin is right on this one. I think the chances at a Tiger auto were somewhere in the range of 1 out of every 125,000 retail packs.

However, you could get lucky and pull 2 of the regular or mini Sports Royalty Tigers and make a little profit. The SP's are also still selling on eBay but have no where near the demand they did last year.

I have absolutely no expectation in pulling a signed Tiger out of these packs. I would be thrilled with pulling a mini Tiger, Jordan, or Crosby which I think is possible. I am also pretty sure there will be no GU at all but I am ok with that.

I sent a guy an email who had left feedback that bought the same lot last week off of this seller and this was his response. I would be pretty happy if I could put a nice set together with the sp’s and Sports Royalty cards. I am sure I won’t get all of them but a nice Tiger, Jordan, or Crosby would make me happy.

“correct i did buy a lot just like that I got almost the full set in green and red all of the card in the set are mini and lots of 2x,3x,4x,5x and some 6x in doubles. i also got alot of sp royaltyand heads up with some good doubles that I can sell. but I didnt get any autos or jersey cards and that wasn't cool but i paid $30.00 so not to bad of a deal . hope this helps. good luck and let me know when you decide to get rid of some the doubles i still missing some cards.”

same guy as sportsdeals4u it appears. Extremely slow shipping, and if he doesn't get the $$ he wants, he refunds your money and relists item. Apparently, he even shorts people on the refunds according to his feedback
