Anyone familiar with gold medallions from CC&V? Have a gold medallion
dated 2004 with COA from Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company
that is stamped 1/2oz .9999 Fine Gold. It weighs .475 Troy Ounces.

I thought it was odd too. However, as for the discrepancy, on the date it was mined (according to the COA), gold was at $415 troy ounce. Searching the web, it appears to be a legitmate mining company. It isn't stamped "troy oz." It is stamped .5 oz .9999 fine gold. The actual medallaion weighs .52 standard ounces.

No, but it is very similar in design. The one I have is dated 2004 and it's "The Portland II."
