    That's cool image

I got 7 rolls when my bank got them in just over a month ago (2009-D) and then bought 6 rolls (along with nickels, dimes, quarters) last week and, in those 6 rolls, I got out 2 more of the 2009-D that were in the handwrapped rolls.....it's all good image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Found my first "Lincoln on a Log" coin last week in change handed to me by my bank teller. When I asked him if he had any more, he said he didn't, and when I asked to buy 2 rolls of pennies to try my luck, it took a request slip, trip to the vault, and 5 minutes to accomplish!!image

Since when doesn't a teller or nearby windows have any rolls of pennies handy to avoid a trip to the vault?!

Of course, my 2 rolls yielded nothing but 100 more coins to bring back to my other bank's coin machine............image

I live hundreds of miles from any major US metropolitan city. I knew it would take this long. And yet my coin is brilliant, MS. Where did it come from? the bank? a tourist?

I have still not seen any new cents in commerce - takes a long time to get them to the mountains... Cheers, RickO
  • I've found only 1 Log Cabin in the last $200 I have searched, but I have found 3 of the FY ones also. Odd to me that the 2nd issue is found more here.

Yesterday I walked down to the post office...and got a VG 1911 lincoln in change. Just a nice old smooth chocolate coin, very very nice.

Stopped at the Dunkin Donuts to get a coffee and multigrain bagel (no cream cheese) for lunch.....and got a 2009 Log cabin lincoln. Horrible thing with deep black pool spots all over it. It was as if the faint spots when new had been colored in and gotten darker.

    talk about two extremes!

I got my first log cabins this week too. Most of them are spotty. Been getting railsplitters for a while now.

Found my first log cabin about a month ago. It was on the ground next to a swing on the local playground where my five year old was playing! Looked a little beat up...

The only 2009 cents I've found in change are the log splitters. Have found a few of both designs in rolls though.
