Hey... can anyone spare a quarter for an old hippie?
(edited to add ... post some wild toners...AT or NT... the wilder the better )

Re: Slabbed coins - There are some coins that LIVE within clear plastic and wear their labels with pride... while there are others that HIDE behind scratched plastic and are simply dragged along by a label. Then there are those coins that simply hang out, naked and free

It's a spoof thread.

<< <i>Orange sunshine. Purple windowpanes. Almost sounds like nicely toned coins. >>
Ah yes... the true reason why I never feel the need to pay a premium for a toned coin... all I have to do is close my eyes a moment... flashback to the "good ole days" and voila... every coin I look at has a rainbow of color... not to mention everything else...
I wonder if those other folks on the "other" thread are gonna ever stop trying to kill that poor horse... enough already...
<< <i>Ah the memories....or lack thereof..... Cheers, RickO >>
It was before my time but this guy at work who attended once told me "If you can remember Woodstock you weren't there."
Would have sworn on a stack of bibles ten feet tall that I had seven fingers on each hand.
This thread just reminded me, I guess they aren't having a Woodstock 2009. I wasn't born yet for the first one, but the 1999 version was interesting to say the least.
<< <i>What a long, strange trip it's been! >>
So very true.
As the saying goes...... if you can remember the 60's you weren't really there.

Some folks trust in reason
Others trust in might
I Don't trust in nuthin'
But I know it'll turn out right
Some folks look for answers
Others look for fights
Some folks climb the pop charts
Just to see their name in lights
Playin'...playin' on the Boards...
Take a break... from all your silly wars...
Well I can tell your future
Just look at the mouse that's in your hand
But some can't stop for nothing
While others heads are in the sand
If someone among us
Got no sin upon their hands
Let them cast their stones at me
For playin on the boards...
Playin'...playin' on the boards...
Take a break... from all your silly wars...
...just to keep the two threads together... sorry... I'm just a$%# retentive like that...

<< <i>hey PAL i have a quarter for you, but you supply the bong a zoid, >>
Not that type of quarter...you silly wabbit...
Folks...as long as those silly boys in the other thread "My latest rip!!!" are gonna keep chasing their tales (not a typo ) .... I'm gonna try and keep this with it... sort of a counter-balance, if you will allow...
C'mon folks... post those wild toners... have a little fun... what the hey...
I ain't pickin' sides... other than Obverses and Reverses... how 'bout you?

"Must be getting early
Clocks are running late
Paint by number morning sky
Looks so phony
Dawn is breaking everywhere
Light a candle, curse the glare
Draw the curtains
I don't care 'cause
It's all right
I will get by / I will get by
I will get by / I will survive"
