Jefferson collectors look what my wife had made for me- You have to check this out!

My wife had a 1944-P BU Jefferson and one of my Henning 1944 conterfeits framed, and a plate inscribed Original Henning, then she had the article out of Coin Facts copied and inserted into the felt matting. Then she had it put into an oak frame that was built for the coins as they are recessed into the matting. Sorry for the crappy picture, but htis is awesome!

  • fcloud, she is great! The other day on vacation I was drinking a beer waiting for our table at a country bar with my buddy. She left her phone in the car but went and found my friends wife and called me and told me to come to the antique shop right away. She said there was a note I might be interested in, so I walk over and she had found a 1902 PB New Iberia, LA national bank note for $195. She knew that it was probally worth far more and someone else was looking at it so she asked to see it until I could get there. I bought it on the spot, there are only 4 known and it is worth $1250-$1500!! When we walked out she asked me, do I get a "you suck", no B.S.image
  • Here is a better pic of the coins

Thoughtful, creative, and considerate. I think you get a "you suck" - just for having found HER!

  • I know "I suck" for having found and kept her, I thought it was cute that she asked for a "I suck" for the bank note. I need to spend less time on the boards and more with her if she is picking up the pcgs board lingoimage

Mine is similar. I have a copy of the booklet. "The Counterfeit 1944 Jefferson Nickel" by Dwight Stuckey mounted with 4 total coins- 2 Hennings for Obv. and Rev. and two legit for the same purpose.

I really, really like the way that your coins are mounted. This was very thoughtful of your wife and she did a kick ass job!

Me thinks that if the wife went a did something like that, I would need to get out of the house more.....you know....experiment with different things......like bird watching or stargazing! image
But that was very nice of her.....to think of you....in such a way......that brought you both together closer than ever before. image

    I think that one's a keeper.

    The wife, not the coin.

I can't see it, but if my wife ever did that, I'd probably fall out of my chair.

    Congrats... you'd better keep her.
