The proverbial "hen's tooth"..........17S Obv Walker

I purchased this hard to come by Walker (in this grade) from a forum member 2 weeks ago. Been chomping at the bits to get ever since and the pink postal card was sitting ever so nicely in my PO Box this morning letting me know she made it to South Ga. I thought I had damaged the contents due to the fact of how hard and fast I ripped the package open when I got back to my office, but everything's alright......don't panic.
This coin in this grade is a tuffy to come by, ask any circulated Walker collector. Except for the 16P and 17D Obv, my 1916-1923 date/MM run in F-VF+ is shaping up nicely (plus a few duplicates ain't too shabby either.) Much thanks goes to the forum members that have helped me along the way.
So anyway, here she is. My pics have come along way, but still bite the big one, especially in slabs! She has alot more skirt detail than shown in the pics.

Much nicer than mine.

Nice looking keydate Walker!
I used a XF 16S for my 16 slot in the date set. They are tough. That's why I used them!
You'll like yours more and more every day.
As much as I'd like to bump many of my early Walkers up to EF from VF, you know it's just too pricey for some for a few years 'til they save a bit more $, me included.
Not often do I pull this
character out, but when
I do, it's warranted.
