Yes, but it was GORGEOUS! Size means nothing, my friend!

This is one of the next coins I want to get for my type set. Trying to figure out the best grade, in the best year, for my money.

I do like those 1798's - one of those would pair nicely with my 1798 dollar! But I have a feeling the price is above me. image

  • That's quite a collection, RTS - very beautiful pieces!

Those 18th century ones are really nice, guys - I appreciate seeing them. I have a few raw ones, I think the oldest is 1802 but they're locked away somewhere and I don't feel like digging tonight.

Thanks...though the collection per se is no longer as the coins have been dispersed, on consignment etc. as I wanted to narrow
my attention to just one year...

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

  • I'm so impressed - I can't oooo and ahhhh much more! I ask and you folks deliver; each and every one is special. I love the colors, I love the deep chocolate brown - they all have personality!

Charmy, yours are just little x's for me, did you already pull them?

A very late date Large Cent knockoff pattern from 1868:

One I had to buy because it has fascinated me since I was a kid, this is the nickel pattern, the nickel toned apparently.

You are not the first to comment on my photos showing up as x's. They show up fine for me, but others tell me they have to hit refresh for them to show up. Perhaps someone on the board can help me. Most of my photos are linked to my website, and the photos are still there. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Some really nice large cents here. The 1840 and the 1838 are especially nice.

No, the image isn't showing up for me. It appears as a box with a red dot in it, not an x.

Edited: Well, after I posted my reply, then the image DID show up. Weird!

Someone with a website may be able to help you better than me.

I went back and right clicked on the pictures, chose "show picture" and they came up... Sweeeet!! Very lustrous ladies.
