Nick Adenhart is a decent pull, at least now anyway
I have done the same thing long ago. When I was 19 and in college, I went to Kroger and they had 89 UD Low Series Boxes. They had 3 full boxes which were packed out at $1.99 a pack. I went to the register, the boxes scanned $1.99 per BOX. I got three boxes for $1.99. Looking back on it, I wouldnt do it again, looking back on it, if I would have paid $72 a box, I would have been the one taking it in the long run.
Did it again in a casino. Playing 3 card poker, hit a straight flush with $5 in the Pair Plus bet, dealer paid me $400 which should have been $200. I smiled and took my chips. This is a little different though, as if I play my hand/bet incorrectly, the house does not allow me to correct the error, I just lose the money, so in this case, I said screw it, you played/paid wrong...YOU lose
That said, I agree with what everyone has said negatively about Wal-Mart. Their buying, promitional and selling policies absolutley ruin many small town economies. Yes, they hire employees, but most of these people would have other jobs if not there. Same reason why the auto-bailout is a joke, no company should be above others and wal-mart has screwed over the little guy for so long, they sometimes get what THEY deserve,
<< <i>Just my two cents, and since you posted on the message board, I'm entitled to give it, but in my mind, that's not good fortune, that's stealing. Before you say that I would have done the same thing, I will say that I wouldn't, as I've returned $100.00 back to my bank before when they've given me the wrong funds through the drive through, I've returned a lost wallet with over $400.00 cash in it, and I routinely give back funds from change errors in retail stores. I hope you never make a $ mistake and someone takes it.

Exactly!
You know, the cashier might be responsible to pay the rest if founf they made a mistake....
I have returned money to many different stores and fast food drive thrus when they gave me more change back. I've only had about $40 more but I would definetly have returned it anyway. Now if your talking about a bank depositing $10,000,000.00 in my bank account out of error, then thats a different story But seriously, I would feel terrible if the cashier had to pay my extra money, because I know how hard they work for soo little money.
Just go back to the store and give the cashier the money, trust me, you'll feel better about it.
True story I get a letter from my credit card company(1998) saying the check I wrote them for 5,800 and some change bounced. I called them and told them I didn't write them a check ? The person said ok they will take care of it. Next month my balance is 43.00 or something like that. I called again and said I didn't write you a check. They said ok I will take care of it. Next month balance is 0 so I call and said this is the last time I am calling you I did not write you a check and of course they said we will take care of it. Thank you
