Newp from Fairlaneman.
I've always liked the 18-D Merc's and it's a tough delivery as it comes weakly struck on the peripherals and central bands.
I liked this example right away when I first saw it listed on the forum in May.
Nice luster, well struck with close to FSB details, and pretty toning...
looks far better IMHO then anything I've seen in this Slab insert assigned grade as seen below.

I sold it for $375.00 last year now I need to make another.
Hoard the keys.
Here's a Barber Half I've always considered undergraded:
1875 double eagles are tough to find in the prooflike condition.
PCGS said this coin is MS60. I thought it was better, but NGC disagreed and would not cross it.

Not a series I look at but this is very nice!!!
My new SLQ(my only I might add) is a 63, I think it could qualify as PQ. Sorry I lost the pic of the reverse.
<< <i>This 1849 Seated 50c is PCGS AU50 and CAC stickered. I think it's definitely PQ for the grade....

I see it as a 63 at max. The 61 grade from PCGS just blew me away. It is a very nice coin and certainly PQ +++ for the grade assigned.

PCGS AU-53
It's real close to blemish free but the luster just might be a bit subdued.
I don't have an image of the holder but it's an older PCI 62.
<< <i>I think the grade's right on with this coin, but this is far superior to most AU50-53s on the market, hence it's PQ to me.

It's an 1815.......................nuff said and I like it!

the earlier coins in the series seem to be graded tougher than the later years. Mine is a 64
