Met the man for the first time at the L.B. show a couple of months back on the last day of the show.....with only a few hours left before closing. I knew who he was, and I was just another collector. I knew his coins where out of my league...asked him if he had some coins I was looking for. He did not, but we chatted for a bid.
2 lasting impression: Though I am not a 'big-time' player, we talked openly & without the feeling like he had more important things to do (even though it was slow, other dealers made me feel like I was taking their time if I was not buying). And, out of EVERY dealer there, Julian was the ONLY one to ask me if I was going to the ANA convention. He handed me some info on the convention. HE was the only one, IMO, pushing numismatics and not just coins!
Congrats Julian, well deserved. Bravo ANA for a great choice.

PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows. I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
And a nice article on this months Numismatist.............Congrat's .............MJ
Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
