    Good, honest, wear from being used in commerce and non-porousity image

    I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

    I'd say VG8 with maybe an old light cleaning that has since retoned nicely. You're right about the planchet... it's rare to find them non-porous and nicely struck. image

    not sure what it's worth, but I try to buy classic head cents every time I see one w/o porosity!

    It is an S288 - I would grade it VG8 net 6 avg+
    The coin appears to have been cleaned but the planchet makes up for it
    CQR is 90 bucks G5 choice but I would want more than that - $125 anyway but would want to see it in hand.
    It could be one of those coins that is better than its grade - nice piece.

    Always looking for attractive rim toned Morgan and Peace dollars in PCGS or (older) ANA/ANACS holders!
