a helping hand

i decided to hit the beach last night for a little hunt...i headed north to a beach that i havent hit in a while and started scanning the wet sands....while strolling along i noticed a couple of young ladies walking around in the dry sand, heads down, looking for something...i stopped and watched for a minute then asked "whatcha lookin for"?...one girl said that she had lost her car keys and then carried on without another word....i dont think they realized that i could help them with my "key finding contraption", so i volunteered...i asked where abouts they lost the keys ?..one of the girls said somewhere between here and the next lifeguard stand about 100 yards down the beach....oy vey!...they showed me the approx line that they were walking and i started a fast grid...nothing!...i asked them to look at the line i just gridded and asked which side of the line should i grid next ? they both agreed on the west side...off i go for another 100 yds...nothing ! i then gridded back on the east side...nothing! 300 yds of gridding in the dry sand, sweat pouring from my bod and nothing....the next grid i did a bit of zig zagging, and about halfway back i found her keys only 15 yds from the original line that i started on....needless to say the girls were happy and even offered me 10 bucks for the effort...i declined saying that i was glad i could help....they each then gave me a big hug ! which i gladly excepted...hey, it's been a while since i got some huggins from 2 cute 20 somethings and to tell you the truth, i enjoyed it... i then started back to the truck and called it quits...total haul....2 hugs, 2 quarters, 2 dimes, 1 nickle, 4 pennies and the usual garbage....i'm hoping for some instant karma on my next hunt....hh
