I can't see, I'm screening some sets but only have a 3.3 x on me...do I need a 10X to see it? The photos on here are so small I'm not sure if I'm seeing things or not....
I have 5 proof sets and, aside from looking to make sure none of the coins were problems, I haven't even bothered to check for anything else....so, I can have anywhere from 0 to 5 of them
Hey on those 4 I notice on the left boot a little strike through looking dot, is that my monitor, or is that something else to look for? I think I may have 1, I think I can shoot it tomorrow with my macro and then blow it up....
thats what I was thinking. I guess it's just a tally thread. Either way it really doesn't matter. I'm curious to see how many more of these are found. Also it will be interesting to see if these only show up in the Proof Sets but not the Silver Proof Sets from the Mint.
It wouldn't surprise me. The Mint would probably have record Proof Set sales this year if this is the case just like the Formative Years Lincoln P&D Set (not sure if it really is in the highest numbers - will have to see the release of the next two P&D sets).
Created hype? Put a limit on the first P&D Set with an unlimited order for the 2nd? Create 40+ DD's for the Formative Years Set with only certain dated boxes that from what I've read, can only be found in the Mint issued boxes? (With an exception of a few circulation finds I've heard of on here). Now a proof DD found on the same reverse as the one with 40+ DD's? You'd think they would have looked into the issue before striking proofs. Oh yeah, dont forget cancel Gold Buffalo this year then bring it back stating it's "required by law"? Hmmm...
Next two issues will not have much interesting errors IF they only occur in the center. Just a couple of buildings. The FY happened by accident to have his hand dead center. would have been cool if it was his face.!
OK, no I have no proof errors, just looked at all sets. I believe this is the best proof set ever, jeeze what a ton of coins.
<< <i>One of the die markers is a vertical die gouge inside the top of the 1st U in PLURIBUS.
This should be easily recognized.
Can anyone show a pic of this?

The doubling on this coin is readily visible so I do not understand the need to identify specific "die markers" since the doubled portion s/b "marker" enough?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Thanks, I am glad it is quite visible, I always have trouble with these DDR's. I will open my proof sets Saturday and take a look.

The present one is listed by the same person and is currently at only $180.50 . What a steal for a coin that has less than 20 known at this time and a one die lifespan of 3000 at the most.

WoW !!! $294.95 bought at last second. Somebody came in at the end , that knows what these will be worth and can afford it, with a high late bid and walked away with the prize. I will not sell mine until someone is willing to pay what they are worth. I would not have even been able to compete with that bid. I hope it was a forum member that got it.
Now I'm glad I did not bid the $1000.01, I kind of figured that was going to happen and I really did not want to spend that kind of money on a raw coin when I have the two PR69s aready.
I know you didn't ask me, but I'd wait. After the $2600 PR67, and then the PR69; for what $500? I think that spooked most.
I was reading another thread on here about summer sales, a seller with 6000+ feedback saying it's the worst summertime slowdown he's seen. It's a buyers market right now. But you've got nothing to lose, but the listings fees........and who knows maybe you'll get a hit.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
pitboss = 2
19Lyds = 1
Walmann = 3
lakefentoncoins (on eBay) sold = 1
lakefentoncoins (on eBay) for sale = 1
Total = 8
BTW, pitboss would you address the title of the thread to state 2009-S Proof DDR-001 ?

My 2 coins arrived at ANACS today and am shooting for a 5 day turnaround.
Total of 4.
One of mine has a line that goes through on to the back of the book. It forms a half circle.
The other one is just like these that are shown.

<< <i>I believe that lakefentoncoins on ebay has two more up for sale, bringing his total to three, which includes the listing that closed. >>
lakefenton only has one coin up for sale:
Both have the same listing number of 110416376773 its just that the top one is a "Featured Items Listing".
The total remains at 12.

I am in no hurry. If I see the price go through the roof, I'll consider it. They are PR69's and will probably be top pops with so few of them minted.
<< <i>Well I only hope my two DDR-002's do as well. >>
I'd like to add one of these to my collection. When do you plan to test the waters?
Lee, have yours been sent into ANACS?

After getting "duped" on the DDR-001, I sent my DDR-002's to ANACS on an Express Ticket as soon as Billy notified me of the Attribution.

I know we will be kicking ourselves for not bidding on these. Maybe I will put one of mine up for $3000 and see if there is any interest.

These are actually the DDR 002, sent them in prior to seeing the DDR 02 posting.
Should these be sent back for the correct attribution?

Would that seller dislike me if I put up a two for the price of one sale?
