Error junkies- 1981 Fleer?

I've had this 81 Fleer set laying around and I just got around to opening it. Apparently it has most of the error/variations included except the Nettles. Is there any value to these? Are any super tough?

I know the Wilfred 'Crazy Elbows' McGee is a reverse negative, if that helps, but I'm not sure it was ever corrected.

Not worth much but there are some error collectors out there looking for the "finger" errors. Thats right, "finger" errors. There is a print flaw that looks like a pointing finger on some cards. I think people pay around 50 cents a piece for them. Nothing to get excited about.

nettles #87 that says "Craig" on the back seem to be one of the tuffest errors in this set that has alot of variations....

it books for 4.50...but you can find nice graded ones for 10 bux or so...

there is a mix of errors none too valuable but a great array for error collectors like myself.

any questions on the errors pm me....

approx 34 errors/variations in the set
    Buying:

Is this the set that has the reverse negative Littlefield card in it?? I thought that card went for a couple hundred a few years ago.

Heh. I still have an '82 Beckett annual laying around. The '81 Fleer Nettles error is listed with a higher value than a '68 Ryan rookie image

That was the year! I opened so many boxes of that garbage. The quality control in both Fleer and Donruss made the Yugo look like a great car!

Hmm, I never knew they corrected the Kurt Bevacqua reverse negative. I guess that's another 5 cent card I'm going to have to pay $3 for on ebay.

    5 cent card

Maybe the price guide says it's worth a whole nickel but I think they sell for a penny most days of the week! image

funny, i remember trading away my entire 78/79/80 football card collection for the 81 fleer error set, back in 1981. i was just a 13 yr old kid, and i was finished with football collecting so i could focus on baseball only. there were no fleer packs where i lived, only topps and donruss, which i agree were really really crappy quality.
