eBay buyers- a humble request, please...

I'm more than willing to combine items for shipping to save you postage. I'll even let you run a tab while you're still bidding/buying (I even tell you this in the email I send with the payment info for your purchase). All I ask is that you just email me to let me know that's what you want to do.
Once you pay for your purchases, I am obligated to ship them as advertised (basically, the next day). This means I need to package your coins for shipment pretty quickly after your payment has been received, so when you pay and then email me later in the day (or the next day) and ask for combined shipping for the latest item you purchased (or are thinking of bidding on), I have to waste the envelope I used to package your first item. Not to mention the time needed to package, unpackage and repackage and reprint invoices for your items in order to combine them in one shipment, as though I was just sittting around with nothing better to do.
One more thing- when I refund your initial payment and ask you to send another one for the combined total, please don't give me a hard time about it. This is a PayPal requirement, not a mrpotatoheadd one (one payment per shipment, that is), so if it bothers you to have to do this, you need to take it up with them.
End of mini- rant. Carry on.

<< <i>Bummer but wrong fourm >>
No more wrong than the "If you used to be a regular poster and now you're just an occasional lurker... " thread, but it doesn't appear you've attempted to police that one just yet...

<< <i>Just tell the buyer you already shipped the first item. >>
When I have, I do. Kind of hard to get away with that when the request for combined shipping comes a couple of hours after the first payment is sent, and it's 11PM.
<< <i>Does that include free shipping items? >>
Free shipping? How's that work? If I want to use it, how do I get the post office to agree to not charge me?

<< <i>Welcome to the life of retail sales and dealing with the public. If you want success you will learn to grin and bear it. >>
So I shouldn't bother to let buyers know their actions may negatively impact the people they buy from? Okay, then.
And just for you, a great big grin...
