I think I owned that coin about 10 years ago. Sold it to someone on Ebay raw for $1200 ish (lived in Hawaii?) after starting it for .99 or something like that. Dont think it will cross better than 65, so no I dont think it will 66 but it should cross at 65 to pcgs. The coin is a rocketship and looks just like it did 10 years ago so the color is as I thought originally NT. This coin is an absolute WOW coin and appears in hand much as it does in the picture, unlike a lot of toned buffs. I think its without a doubt the nicest naturally toned vibrant buff I have ever seen and I wish I had never sold it. If this coin is ever for sale let me know, I'll definitely pay more for it the second time around than I did the first (embarassed to publish it since I ripped it hard from another dealer).
I like it in any holder.
It's worth trying, nothing to loose.
As a side note; after a bad experience years ago at Yellowstone N.P., I would advise that it's never a good idea to cross a buffalo.
Leave it be.
Edited to add: I know they don't do TruViews on crossovers. When the coin is accepted at PCGS you can call and put a ship hold on it. If it crosses, request a reholder and Truview then.

Agree. It looks fine where it is now.

I'd worry about it going in a "genuine" slab right now because of the color......

And it would be a shame since its really NT. I watched the over the counter purchase of the set this coin came from and they were all in kraft envelopes and Wayte Raymond albums. The extras were in the envelopes. I think this coin was an extra from a kraft envelope but was far nicer than the album example. I'm 99.9% sure its the same coin. I think if the graders saw it in person they should know the coin is NT as the toning is very indicative of that type of toning. It's just rare to see nickels tone this way because if they tone, its usually heavy and even. This "fairy dust" type toning would be near impossible to replicate as its an extremely almost ethereal toning on the top of the coin. I dont think crossing is necesary unless its to fit in with the rest of their coins. It's awesome!
There always is a risk to doing it. Without knowing your slant on this coin, I would suspect AT.
Even though late in the series, the coin isn't razor sharp......but well struck overall with a slight flatness to the Buffs head and a little erosion to the Indians neck, but that was the norm for later Buffs.
It should go 65.
