The 2010 Proof & Mint Sets will now include one of every circulating coin, a total of 196 coins in all.
At the low price of $17,599 U.S. this Set is destined to be a quick sellout.

    No kidding!

Add a quarter and 4 95% Copper Cents, raise the price $12.00.

I'll be glad when all these special programs go bye bye. Of course, I'll probably be dead by them. How many National Parks quarters will be produced each year? 4, 5, or 6?

    Oh well.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

HUH? Last year the silver sets were 44.95. They only went up 8 bucks. Gotta be a couple bucks worth of silver in that extra quarter at at least 4 cents worth of copper. Still too much of a markup.

I doubt they will sell very many silver proof sets at that price, especially considering the overall plunge in consumer discretionary spending across the board in '09. I bet it will likely turn out to be a very low production year for these, unless of course the Mint decides to overproduce them anyway... in which case they'll end up with an inventory surplus well into 2010.

I was thinking the same thing. Either way if it turns out to be mass produced or not, I placed an order for 1 set.

    You can't not buy one.

Otherwise, it invalidates your entire Dansco album existence.

Perish the thought. Decades down the drain.

    *shudder*

No, I gotta have the shiny-shiny half dollar. The six quarters. Four more of those dollars. And more of those cents. Eat em up yum.

wish I had bought more than 1 of the Lincoln's Birthplace and people thought that was crazy.

However, there is no "Hot Factor" to the proof sets despite their 4 Cents content.

I believe the same will be true with the Silver proof sets.

although, unlike other years, I am getting 2. I think I'm going to attempt to get a grade on some coins if they are decent looking.

but, how can a modern crap collector not get one?

Everything except the Kennedy Half can be obtained buy purchasing some other option.

That makes the Kennedy Half a sleeper, or it makes everything else except for the Kennedy Half trash.
