Business strike Franklins have never appealed to me a whole bunch but I do like 'em in CAM and DCAM proof with some frost.
With Cameo contrast and frost AND colorful target toning, in an OGH holder, well... I couldn't resist.
I look forward to seeing this one.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
That is a stunning coin.
Please post your pictures when it arrives.
Enjoy!

That would only serve to make it look horrible, I fear. I'll be using the previous owner's pix. I will try to update when it arrives to say how it looks in hand. I am sure it will be nice.

Actually they are, a tiny bit.
Did it myself. Just brightened them a tiny bit since the originals looked a tad dark, and merged obverse/reverse into a single picture. But that's all I did.
Here they are, unbrightened.

Please let us know if, in hand, it sparkles with the same smooth eye catching appeal that is represented in the photo?

Me too. Actually, I bought a partial set of them. Nothing better than 64, none is a key date, and nothing's toned. But it's still a very cool deal. BTW, did I mention that all of them are struck on quarter planchets?

<< <i>Oh no LordM...say it isn't so..... you have gone over to the 'toned side'... >>
If it ain't too big a premium, I'm there. I won't pay multiples of a coin's value for a toner, but if I see one with little or no premium I'll pounce. Peer pressure is a powerful thing.

Oh, like the only thing I buy is holey coins. Ha. Holeys are a relatively late pursuit for me, only since the millennium. And I don't even buy them that much anymore, though some still find me.
The coin is in hand now.
Comparing it to the pictures above (which I brightened a little but did not "juice" in color terms), it does look much more subtle in hand. And the pix might have been "juiced" a tiny bit before I brightened them. In hand, the colors are not nearly so prominent- just a sort of gold at the rims. The cameo contrast is OK and the coin does indeed have very nice eye appeal. It is not a "monster toner" by any stretch of the imagination but it is a very nice proof Franklin half. I don't have any regrets, I reckon.
I'd scan it but my scanner would give a completely inaccurate result as well.
