What are the 10 must see sporting events on your bucket list?

Rick Reilly did a list and as usual, it sucked. This is what he listed: (with my comments)
10. Home Run Derby -- no, I can think of 100 other things I'd rather see than a 3 hour batting practice exhibition.
9. Iditarod -- no, I can think of 1000 other things I'd rather see than dogs running around in 20 degree weather.
8. Ryder Cup -- eh, maybe. I'd like to see it, don't know if it's top 10.
7. Yankees vs. Red Sox at Fenway -- no. I've seen it, it's not top 10.
6. America's Cup -- huh?
5. Tour de France -- No.
4. North Carolina vs. Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium -- No. Not as overrated as Sox-Yankees, but I still don't care.
3. Wimbledon -- Yep. I've been there, and it's great.
2. Kentucky Derby -- Yep. I haven't been there, but I will get there soon.
1. Masters -- Yep. No friggin' clue when I'll get there.
Here's my list: (this includes events I've already seen)
10. NBA Finals - check. 2006, saw Shaq win another one.
9. Super Bowl - just because.
8. Rose Bowl - I've been twice, and it's special.
7. Masters - have to get there someday.
6. All 4 Tennis Grand Slam Events - I've seen 3, only the French Open remains.
5. Baseball at all major league parks - about 1/3 of the way there.
4. World Series - I've been twice, and it's awesome.
3. Indy 500 - just because.
2. Kentucky Derby - the oldest, grandest, and arguably the coolest spectacle in American sports on a historical basis.
1. Ohio State-Michigan football: the greatest rivalry in all of sports. Especially when Michigan sucks.

And Pacman VS Mayweather would be another must see.
Does a list take into account if you have a team with a rooting interest (e.g. Rose Bowl would move up if the Illini were playing)?
9. Yankees vs. Red Sox @ Fenway
8. Duke Vs. North Caroilina at Cameron
7. World Cup Final (Just seems like something you should do)
6. Gumball 3000 Rally (Not sure if it counts as a sporting event, but I have always wanted to do it)
5. World Series
4. Masters
3. Kentucky Derby (absolutely awesome experience)

2. WCHA Fina Five at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN - finals for one of the best conferences in college hockey, always a good time! (next yer will be my 10th in a row)
Probably more, but feeling a bit lazy right now
9. World Cup Downhill/Olympic Downhill - would be nice if Franz Klammer was still around, but i'll settle for today's spoiled brats at Mach 5 speed.
8. Soap Box Derby - seriously, a sporting event featuring kids who built their competition vehicles.....way cool.
7. Little League World Series in Williamsport....someday, i WILL attend that, for sure.
6. Masters @ Augusta - same as #7
5. A Tug Of War featuring about 40 Playboy Playmates in the mud - not a SPORT? not YET.
4. Ironman Triathlon on the Hawaiian Islands - since i'm too much of a cream puff to compete, i'll just hang out and drink Mai Tai's
3. Seeing the Chicago Bears play in the Super Bowl - sure, that happened a few years ago, stood there in the misty rain and watched Peyton the Magnificent cut up my heroes after that awesome opening kickoff return.....now, every time i see a horse, i want to kick it.
2. Running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain - ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, INDISPUTABLY........JUST WATCHING.

Steve
Baseball All-Star game was pre-interleague and it actually meant more to me then since I never got to see the AL stars outside of an occasional trip to Baltimore or Yankees stadium. Now with interleague and the glut of games on television the All Star game does not hold as much weight in my opinion.
Would love to see a Super Bowl, but if my team is not in it, I would probably only have a so-so experience. All the hoopla and half time shows is trite and played out at this point in time.
When the US Open comes back to the Philly area (2013 Merion), I will be all over tickets. Seeing Tiger compete for a win in a major should be on the list. This guy is the ultimate closer. By that time he may also be going for the all time majors mark.

Bosox1976
BUT... it's the few days BEFORE these events that make these events worth-while! The partying is NUTS! Who the hell cares at the actually races... and IMS is far too big to see the entire track... so what racing you do see is of 3/4ths of the track at the most.
I'm by no means a Hockey nut, but I'd LOVE to take in one of the outdoor games played on rare-occasion. The one from a couple years ago when it snowed woulda been an experience!
Haven't made it to a Kentucky Derby yet... maybe before I die, who knows.
The Daytona 500 for sure, or possible a night race in Bristol... THAT would be great!
I'd like to make it to the Predule to a Dream race once at El Dora.
ANY World Series game... preferably with the Reds playing in it!
ANY Baseball All-Star game... and yes, a HR Derby would be nice.
I'd like to PLAY in a WSOP one day... but someone will have to 'stake' me!
... and I gotta believe an NFL Pro Bowl game would be unforgettable too!
I'm sure there's more... just can't think of anymore at this time.
ALWAYS Looking for Chris Sabo cards!
1. Stanley Cup Finals - Twice (seven games attended) - Got to see the Canes win the Cup on home ice in 2006. Saw a heartbreaking triple overtime loss to Detroit in 2002.
2. Olympic swimming finals
3. NCAA Basketball Championship Men's - Attended in 1982 UNC vs Georgetown. I grew up in New Orleans and got to see the game with Jordan hitting the game winner.
4. World Series
5. Super Bowl - Saw Dallas vs Denver and Oakland vs Philadelphia. Both sucked. Both in the Superdome where I HATE watching football on concrete.
6. Grand Final - The Aussie Rules Super Bowl. This looks like a lot of fun!!!

8. A game in Fenway Park
9. A hockey game in Montreal - I've done this and the fans are rabid!!! A must see for any hockey fan.

George v. Florida in football
Packer's home game
Game 7 of Stanley Cup in Detroit or any Canadian city

NBA championship game in Sacramento - any game, win or lose, but give me ONE game!
I am going to a Big 10 football game this fall. Will be my first at a Big 10 stadium. Iowa.
Been to a Final Four. Been to the PGA Championship (Atlanta Athletic Club). Been to the Super Bowl in Atlanta.
I'd like to go to the NBA Finals, a US Open, Ryder Cub, Kentucky Derby, and Wimbledon.
Edit: forgot to add the British Open, and I've been watching it all damn day, lol.
10) Talladega (Better racing than Daytona, its got a smoother track and a little longer so the drivers never let up off the gas which makes for so great racing and some jaw-dropping wrecks)
9) Any college football game amongst bitter rival ( Alabama vs Auburn, Army vs Navy, or Ohio St vs Mich.)
8) Sunday back nine of the Masters
7) Any All-Star game of any sport played in Las Vegas
6) Monte Carlo Grand Prix ( I despise open wheel racing, but they have topless beaches so it makes the list)
5) An Ole Miss home football game (Seriously, Mississippi maybe last in everything except for smoking hot blond coeds. I have fallen in love many times on the Grove)
4) World Cup soccer final match ( I hate soccer, I mean I really hate soccer, but this would be fun to just fan watch)
3) Any Championship Heavywieght Boxing match held in Las Vegas. (The owner of Superior Grill took me and a few other of his employees to see Tyson-Holyfield II. The level of excitment was electric before the bout)
2) The X-Games when they start holding them in Vegas
1) The first Super Bowl held in Vegas.
If you can't tell, I like Vegas
