Not quite large enough pics for me to be definitive but I'll go with the real crowd

    I say FAKE.

The pictures are too small to tell IMO. The seller needs to spend more pixels on the coin and less pixels on the slab.

I'd pass on this one if I were interested in an 1875-CC Trade Dollar.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

I can't be certain from these terrible photos, but I have some reservations. The mintmark position looks a bit low to me, and the position of the second C looks a bit off. These are my impressions only, it is really hard to tell from the photos. I also believe that it is possible to remove a coin from one of these holders without causing significant damage to the holder, and replace it with a coin that is fake or lower quality.

Here is an image of the reverse of a genuine 1876-cc ddr, for comparison, if anyone wants to subject themselves to eyestrain!

Would never make a guess based upon such crappy pix.
FWIW, it does not appear to have the re-engraved feathers seen on the fake pieces that came out in the fake slabs 1-1/2 years ago.

The feathers on the fake ones werent re-engraved on the fake ones they were not doubled. The rest of the rev was doubled but the feathers weren't unlike the real one. This is one of the fake ones that came out 2years ago

The seller is a real shop in West Seattle, so If it is bad, I think you can return it.

This is my whole point I am trying to raise. People are relying on signs a coin is fake that are other then the coin. People say don't buy from china or raw on ebay. But if you don't look at the coin shady people will get the fakes into real dealers hands. Also people have been counting on the poorly made fakes but truth be told there are some very good ones out. I disagree, If you know what you're looking for I think the pictures are fine.

Too bad pics to tell for certain. I would say real at this point.

I certainly do not understand how anyone would put such bad pictures on ebay and expect to get top dollar for coins. Good coins with good pictures bring good money. Good coins with bad pictures bring so-so money. If you are going to sell coins on the internet, why not invest the time and money to put good pictures in the auctions. People with good coins are leaving a lot of money on the table with bad pictures.
Some are just lazy while others are just ignorant. The cost of using good pics will be recovered in no time.

On the other hand if you are trying to hide something and are fishing for suckers----

Please clarify your response. Your first sentence does not make sense.

    You have a point,

The pickup point on the high end fakes is the feathers but not how you stated. On the real 76CC DDR the eagles feathers are doubled and is one of the easiest places to pick up the rest being the double tongue under the head, double branch above FINE and few other places. On the Fakes that came out it had the other pick up points such as the eagles tongue and branch but the feathers are not doubled. Add in a few die markers that I don't want to go into here and that was all that let people know that the coins were fake

Real.. fake... who cares? Even if you knew with 100% certainty that the coin was real... why the heck bid on it any higher than VF-35 money? There are only two people that can get screwed in this auction... 1) The seller and 2) Bidiots who would bid up a coin based solely on plastic.

To be honest I am not sure. I would think the holder is fake but to be honest I only ever focused on the coins when I learned about these and I forgot to ask.
