1964 Original Nickel Bank Roll

Is there any premium for a roll of 1964 nickels in their original bank roll? Thanks!

Not really. Probably worth no more than about $3.
  • k thanks. thats what I was thinking.

The old lady I work with brought in 2 old rolls of them to cash in for gas money so before I passed them out I wanted to make sure I was not missing out on too much. thanks!

If 1964D then look for the D/D RPM-005.

Not really. You could look for "bars" but they carry no premium for selling purposes, just something cool to add to the 2x2 collection if you're into that.

If they have FS you may have a keeper.

    IMHO,

Serious high grade (MS66-7), full step coins and/or the extremely remote possibility of running into an 64 SMS coin would be worth the five to ten minutes it would take to look through this roll.

There are no known RPMs/DDOs/DDRs for this mintage in BU.

  • How can you tell if you have coins from the special mint sets? Are they different in any way or are they marked somewhere?
