The safe way

I've been waiting for a reason to get a safe. The only problem is I wanted one that weighs a ton. Solution: This 500 lb fire safe bolted to 1500 lbs of steel plates bolted to concrete in the garage.

Then disguise it with a Rubbermaid outdoor tool shed placed over it. That plus a gated community plus a mojo alarm system, plus my buddies.... (Smith and Wesson, not to mention Remington, Winchester and .357 Sig) ......stored OUTSIDE the safe....

Forgot where I was going with this post........

  • Uh that safe isn't the best, you can bolt it to whatever, if it is a crappy safe it wont take long to open

Why don't you simply rent a safe deposit box?

ANY safe can be easily opened
if a crook comes at you or your loved ones with a gun or knife,
    so my father taught me.

    get a SDB and insurance.

Sounds like a good way for a crook to get himself shot. Also, a crook may break into your home and threaten your family even if your coins were in a SDB.

That gun safe can be broken into with prybars in less than 2 minutes. There is a video on YouTube.

You really need a TL-30 safe which weighs closer to 2000 lbs for a similar size and takes 30 minutes minimum to break into with the most sophisticated tools. Pry bars will not get you in.

The first thing I would do is to stop posting on an internet site about which safe you plan to buy, where you intend to put it and how you intend to disguise it.

I was thinking the same thing, there are a lot of good, honest people on this forum but there is no telling who is surfing the boards.

My insurance coverage does not cover my garaged contents. Safe's in the garage are
a no no. Has to be in the house to be covered.
