My Dad took me to my first card show when I was 13 years old in 1976. He bought me my first Topps set - the 1976 set. Looking at those 76 cards brought back a lot of good memories. My favorite player back then was Rod Carew. When I busted packs back in 1976 I always looked for Carews first as I went through the cards.
Thanks Felicia for bringing back some good memories with those 76 cards and especially the Carew cards.
I am looking for a 1974 Frank White RC. I see you pulled one. I want it for my Royals collection. He was my 2nd favorite Royal growing up of course after my childhood idol George Brett!! Let me know if you are interested in selling.
Just caught up from where I left off last night. Love this thread!!! Definately got this board back to talking about cards again as opposed to some of the other threads. Thanks, and good luck tonight!!
Unbelievable 1976's!!! It was like being transported back in time to when I was 8 years old, and the 1976's were the first packs of baseball cards I ever bought. They look like they rolled out of the Topps factory in Duryea, PA just yesterday. It almost brought a tear to my eye . . . .
Looking to trade for, or purchase, raw or graded vintage for my baseball sets: 1927 York Caramel, 1951 Bowman, 1957 Topps, 1967-1979. http://richsbaseball.webs.com
Had to get to bed last night after the '74s and just got caught up. Can't wait to see what tonight brings.
Felicia - Glad to see some really nice pulls and thanks for sharing. I would be interested in purchasing any NM '76 commons that you don't want. I'm working on a raw NM '76 set right now.
Absolutely love that Corrales card...next to the 75s, this is my second favorite set!
