At long last, a decent picture of my 1916-D dime in NGC MS-67FB.

Of course, Mark Goodman can do it better but these pictures are not bad at all.
These pictures do represent my preference for nicely toned coins as long as they are dated 1917 and before. Personally, I always liked this dime more than the Bill Dominick 1916-D dime in PCGS MS-67FB because I felt it was too dark and "moody" looking. This coin has pizzazz and life to it and is unquestionably 100% original.
True, ownership adds a grade to the coin. LOL.
I have enjoyed this dime for over 12 years and it has been an awesome ride this this lady! Even my wife has not been jealous!

I never tried to cross it to PCGS. The PCGS pop is 6/0 and NGC is 2/0. If it were to cross then it would make it PCGS 7/0 and NGC 1/0 and then I would lose the older NGC slab.
Killer coin, and the color is just enough to call it a toner to me.
I would think a coin like that would only be intrusted to Mark to work his magic. The pic looks a bit mushy to me.

Great coin.

Have you seen any of the other 67FBs besides the Dominick example?
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

You never know, that pop 2 might only be yours, if the 1st time someone cracked it out hoping for the 68!
<< <i>Very nice coin. When you bought it 12 years ago did you think the price was right, high or did not matter? >>
I'm guessing it was from Parrino, so it was either high or didn't matter.
This is a 16-D for the ages regardless of what plastic it resides in. A truly beautiful coin.
it really matters what holder it is in as long as it is one of
the two top TPGs.
