  • Unreal, the 1952 Mantle PSA 9 is back again with a BIN of $8,000. Ebay removed the negative feedback that I left last night also, what a shame. Sorry but I dont know how to add the live link to this thread but the item #280359486246

    << <i>The RICO-Protectorate know as EBAY T&S has removed
the NEG left by the last buyer of the card.

This CLEARLY proves that the left hand of that filthy gangster
outfit does not know what its right hand is doing. T&S told
me they were "on top of it," eight hours ago. >>

a disgrace to do that - ebay could basically have a FREE member "police force" to help prevent fraud and the ebay management idiots don't take advantage of it.

I would respond that "I will pay via PayPal in a few of days."

    .......

If you leave a NEG in a few days - and EBAY tries to remove it -
tell EBAY that you "found a thread on the PSA site that exposed
the seller as a serial criminal."

The buyer is going to wait a few days before leaving a negative. At least that will hopefully keep the seller from trying to relist again.

Why do we even worry about such matters? If someone thinks they can get a PSA 9 52 Mantle

for god knows how much of a discount then ........I don't know. Are we supposed save people from themselves?

Has anyone even checked the cert to see if it is even in someones registry set?

Anyone that thinks they can get this card for 8k has more problems then losing 8k.

This whole situation and the other one is laughable.

Does Ebay have to resort to making 'sellers' of this card place the card with a 3rd party?

    This is really getting old.

    Good for you.

Their conduct in dealing with the subject seller is AMAZING, but NOT shocking.

They will defend even the worst CRIMINALS, if there is even a remote possibility
that EBAY will collect a FVF on the transaction.

I can't believe that some lawyer somewhere doesn't sue them.

or do they and Ebay has lawyers too?

    Hi Steve,

Probably would never happen .... but not a bad idea!

Didn't eBay used to have a 3rd Party Escrow division/account?

  • Seller requested that we cancel the transaction. He has sold the card 6 times so far. One of those was the day after he sold it to me.

If a buyer agrees to a "mutual cancellation," and then reneges on that agreement,
the SELLER gets stuck with the FVFs.

Could be a parent lying to protect a bad kid.

The account just does not fit any profile of being jacked from outside.

EBAY removed the "view item" from his recent sales; and all NEGs.
